Mothers & More, NYC Chapter has launched their Power of a Purse Mother’s Day Campaign. The campaign is designed to raise awareness of mothers’ economic issues through the act of collecting new/gently used purses for mothers in need. The purse symbolizes a woman's economic power, something we wish for all women. No matter where a mother is on the social ladder, there is “power in her purse” and is symbolic of independence and empowerment.
All purses will be donated to the YWCA City of New York on Friday, May 7th, in time for Mothers Day. Please email Maria Zaino at mariazaino@gmail.com to donate a purse! A drop off point in NYC will be posted shortly.
